About *.CSV Files

A *.csvComma delimited database record file. For example, a user tops database file. The CSV stands for Comma Separated Values. file is one that you created by exporting the fields from a database to a file. The commas in the file separate the fields, and a carriage return separates the records.

In order to import a *.csv file into GeoVista, you must set up your file in this exact format:

• The *.csv file must have one header row.
• The first two columns must be UWI and KBKelly Bushing, reference point on a drill to calculate depth. Elevation, respectively.
• The remaining columns display the formation names.
• If you have difficulty trying to import tops in the *.csv format, check that you set up your file in the exact format that GeoVista expects.
