- - Another user is working in the project, or the application closed prematurely when another user worked in the project. Contact the user named in the warning to ensure you don't work in the project simultaneously, which could corrupt the project. When you're confident no other user is working in the project, click <OK> to go ahead and open it.
- - You selected to open a project that was opened previously in a newer version of ProductName. To use this project you must first upgrade ProductName to the newest version. If you are unable to upgrade your software, you'll need to contact Divestco support to restore the project to your current version of ProductName.
- - You selected to open a project that was opened previously in an older version of ProductName. If you open the project, ProductName will automatically convert it to the new version, and the project will no longer be compatible with older versions of the software. If you think you might need to use this project again in an older version of ProductName, we suggest you make a copy of the project before you convert it. If you complete the conversion and discover in the future you need to use it in an older version of the software, you will need to contact Divestco support to restore the project to the older version.
Follow these steps to save a copy of your project:
- On the Application tool bar select
| to open the Browse For Folder dialog box.
- Select a path for you project, and click <Make New Folder>.
- Name your new folder, and click <OK>.
- WinPICS will create a copy of your project that you are free to work in without corrupting your original project.
- - The last time you worked in the project, the application was closed prematurely. Click <OK> to continue and open the project.
- Project
Restore Error – If you receive an error message when you try to
open your project, dismiss the message and continue. ProductName will open a default map. This problem may have been caused by making changes
to your database after having saved your work settings, which prevents ProductName from restoring the last
saved work settings.
- - If you receive this error message when you try to open a project, this means the project has been deleted from the directory. Consult with your administrator.
- Blank
Map - If you have not imported data to your project directory,
ProductName will open with a blank
map window. Proceed to Import.
- Apparent
Blank Map - ProductName may
open with what appears to be a blank map if you have added data with incorrect
coordinate locations. This will usually result in the main body of your
data being compressed into one corner of your map and the incorrectly
located data compressed into another. Try zooming
in on the corners to see what you find. You will need to re-import the
data.
