Import Landmark ASCII Metafiles
- From the Application toolbar select |
.
- Browse to the source ASCII metafile(s) using standard
Windows commands. Use the down arrow next to Files
of type: to select from all files if your file extension is not
.asc. Click <Open>.
- The Map Overlay
window will open. To edit text scaling or the output filename, left click
on a filename. A text scale of 1 is the default. Use 1.5 to increase
text size to one and a half the default size. Use 0.8 to create text
at 80% of default size.
- Toggle on Convert Coordinates
if you need to change the map projection of the imported layer.
- Select either Save
As Overlays or Save As Underlays
for the imported layers.
If the text size is unacceptable, re-import experimenting
with text scaling. If you use the same names for files, output files are
simply overwritten.
