Merge Horizons

WinPICS enables you to merge together horizons, which means you can transfer horizons between 3D volumes. This is useful when you have overlapping 3Ds and you want to transfer a horizon from one 3D to another. This functionality can save you from having to re-interpret 3D data. For example, if you already interpreted a piece of 3D, and now you have more data that you want to add to that 3D, you can merge the new data onto the existing data and only interpret the new information. As well, if you import 3D data that overlaps existing 3D data, you can merge the data so you do not need to re-interpret that same data again.

  1. Select | Import Horizons (HAS) | Merge Horizons to open the Merge Horizons dialog box. View image

  2. In the Horizons window, click on the horizons you want to export.
  3. Select the Merge option if you want to add your selected horizons to the selected 3D, or select Replace if you want to overwrite the horizons in the selected 3D.
