A scale factor is applied to numbers in a SEG-Y file that were scaled when they were written to file. For example, enter a scale factor of 0.1 to read 200 as 2000.
Enter a scale factor of 10 to read 1000 as 100. You can apply a scale factor to binary and trace header values within the Binary Header and Trace Header tabs.
