This tool performs volumetric calculations using gridded surfaces and polygons.
Create a Map Drawing Polygon or open an existing polygon file.
To compute the volume of the polygon, right-click to open the Map Drawing menu.
Select Volumetrics | Compute Advanced Volume.View image
Select one of the following methods below with its corresponding grids, and click <Calculate Volume> to begin the calculation. Volume will be displayed as cubic meters and feet.
Select 2 time grids and enter a constant velocity to calculate a volume inside the polygon.
Volume = (Time Grid 2 - Time Grid 1) x Constant Velocity x Polygon Area
Select 2 time grids and an interval velocity grid to calculate a volume inside the polygon.
Volume = (Time Grid 2 - Time Grid 1) x Interval Velocity Grid x Polygon Area
Select 2 depth grids to calculate a volume inside the polygon.
Volume = ( Depth Grid 2 - Depth Grid 1) x Polygon Area
Select an Isochron grid and enter a constant velocity to calculate a volume inside the polygon.
Volume = Isochron Grid x Constant Velocity x Polygon Area
Select an Isochron grid and an interval velocity grid to calculate a volume inside the polygon.
Volume = Isochron Grid x Interval Velocity Grid x Polygon Area
Select a depth Isopach grid to calculate a volume inside the polygon.
Volume = Isopach x Polygon Area
