Create Horizon From Grid
Use Grid to Horizon to extract
grid values at trace locations and store those values as a new horizon.
- On the menu bar select to open the Create Horizon From Grid dialog box. View image
- From the GridName list, select the source grid.
- If the source grid has two attribute grids, click to clear the check box next the grid that you do not want to extract.
- In the Name: box, WinPICS automatically displays a horizon name based on the grid name. If you want a different name, type it into the box.
- If you type the name of an existing horizon, its attribute value will be overwritten when WinPICS creates the horizon.
- Select the check boxes to extract grid values
to traces in 2D data, 3D data, or both.
- Click <OK>to begin extraction.
- The grid values for Depth and User Defined fields are stored in the amplitude portion of the picks database. To post your newly extracted horizon, select it from the horizon list and post the horizon in amplitude.
To use the values in horizon math equations, use the equation for amplitude
field in Horizon Math.
