Get Trend Only
You can control how WinPICS models the trend. In the Data Trend Treatment portion of the dialog box, select one of the following models from the Modelling Trend With list:
- 2D 1st-order
polynomial – Fits a 2D 1st-order
polynomial (y = a + bx) to the input data, which is appropriate if the trend has one predominant dip direction. This is the default.
- 2D 2nd-order
polynomial – Fits a 2D 2nd-order
polynomial (y = a + bx + cx2) to the input data, which is appropriate if the trend has two predominant
dip directions.
- 2D 3rd-order
polynomial – Fits a 2D 3rd-order
polynomial (y = a + bx + cx2 + dx3) to the input data, which is appropriate if the trend has more than two predominant dip directions.
- Mean Value Of
Input Data - uses a flat plain equal to the mean value of all input data.
- No Action on Trend - Not applicable to this procedure.
