Processing
History
WinPICS saves the processing
history of your seismic for any processing done within WinPICS.
The first time you process your data, WinPICS
saves a history file in your project directory under the name linename.qq1,
where linename
is the name of your 2D line or 3D area. WinPICS
will create a history file named linename.qq2 for the next processing
job, and so on. (See Database
Filenames for more details on file naming conventions in WinPICS.)
Viewing the History File
- Right-click on your seismic and select from the shortcut menu.
- Highlight the version of interest and click <History File>.
- The history file will open. Here is an example
of a history file of a 2D line to which a 30 degree phase correction was
applied:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
HISTORY RECORD STARTED Wed Sep 29 14:43:14 1999
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Processing done to line LN75I on Wed Sep 29 14:43:14
1999
Interactive Line Tie [0,0,0,0] Phs: [30]
Tie Parameter file: LN75I.TF1
Input File : D:\Test Data\2d&3dint\LN75I.SGY
=> Output File : LN75I.YD1
---------------------------------------------------------------------
- In the example above, the original line name is LN75I.SGY. The phase-corrected
line is LN75I.YD1. The next processed line would be named LN75I.YD2, then
LN75I.YD3, and so on. This is WinPICS
standard file naming convention for 16-bit data. Please see Database
Filenames for more details.
- When
you process your seismic data, no changes are made to your original data.
New versions are created for phase and filter corrections. Corrections
made to amplitude, bulk shift, and polarity are stored in a header file
and applied to traces and picks for display, picking, plotting, and export.
