Choose Log Viewing Precedence Dialog Box
To open the Choose
Log Viewing Precedence dialog box, select Options
| Set Log Preferences from the Main Menu bar. Use this dialog box
to select which log types you want GeoVista to pass to any of the log applications (For example, LogEdit,
CrossLog, or LogPrinter)
when you open any of these applications from GeoVista.
Follow these steps:
- In the main window on the left, right-click on
a log type to open a shortcut menu, and select to move the log up or down
in the list. The location of the log is what determines its loading precedence.
- In the main window, select the check box of each
log type you want to display upon export. The first level of headings
are the group names for the types of logs, and if you expand the list,
you'll see the names of the individual log types. You can either select
an entire group of logs or select the specific well types in that group.
- Select an option for which wells you want to load:
select the All Selected Logs option
if you want to load every log or log group whose check box you selected
in the main window (providing it's available for the well), select the
One From Each Group option if
you want to load the first selected log in the list for each log group
you selected, or select the Top Choice
Only option if you want GeoVista to only load one log - the first one it finds from the list of all the
selected log types.
- Typically, when you export the logs, you get way more logs than you want
to see. Therefore, most people find that the One
From Each Group option is the most useful for their work.
- In the EarthTOOLS
Scale list, select a scale at which to display the log depth. If
there is more than one available depth scale, choose the scale that displayed
by default. A scale of 1:240 indicates either 1" = 120', or 1 cm
= 120 m.
- Select one or more check boxes to choose which
density matrix to use specifically for density and porosity logs: bulk,
sandstone, limestone, other, or dolomite.
- Click <OK>.
