Primary Keys and List Files

All GeoVista database tables use a primary key for organizing information. A primary key appears once in a table and can never be duplicated in the same table.

Lists that are generated through queries contain only the primary key information of the database in question; other information remains within the database. Creating lists in this manner allows for faster sorting of data and limits the duplication of information.

The following table lists the GeoVista databases:

• Database Name - name that appears in the
• Database Description - short description of the information contained in the database;
• Primary Key - organizing element of the database shown in the format table:field (as viewed in the Term Builder dialog box database tree)
