All GeoVista database tables use a primary key for organizing information. A primary key appears once in a table and can never be duplicated in the same table.
Lists that are generated through queries contain only the primary key information of the database in question; other information remains within the database. Creating lists in this manner allows for faster sorting of data and limits the duplication of information.
