Map Drawing Polyline

  1. From the Map window, left click on the Draw Polylines icon on the Drawing Tools toolbar.
  2. Your mouse pointer will now be displayed as a pencil within your map window.
  3. Polylines are created by left-clicking on the map display to set the first point of the line segment. Each line segment is created by continuously left-clicking on the map to set a corresponding point. If you wish to manually enter a UTM X,Y coordinate pair you can do so by pressing <m> on your keyboard. Right clicking on the map display will end the current polyline.
  4. Once the polyline is complete you can right-click to access the Map Drawing Menu where you can edit the drawing properties of the polyline, create a New Object or Save Layer As an overlay or underlay.
