Open the Well List Using a Polygon

ProductName enables you to draw a temporary polygon to open a list of wells that are found inside or outside of its parameters. There are two ways you can use a polygon to select wells to include in the Well Spot Database dialog box.

  1. From the Map Menu bar, select Select | Well List Using Polygon to display a sub menu. From here select Wells Inside of Polygon or Wells Outside of Polygon to enable the polygon drawing tool. Your mouse pointer will now be displayed as a pencil within your Map window.
  2. Draw a polygon on your map.
  3. Once you finish drawing your polygon, your polygon will disappear and the Well Spot Database dialog box opens to display a list of well spots. If you selected Wells Inside of Polygon, this list will include well spots found inside of your drawn polygon's parameters. If you selected Wells Outside of Polygon, this list will include well spots found outside of your drawn polygon's parameters.

  1. On the Drawing Tools toolbar, select the Draw Polygons icon to enable the polygon drawing tool. Your mouse pointer will now be displayed as a pencil within your Map window.
  2. Draw a polygon on your map.
  3. Right-click on your new polygon to display the Map Drawing Menu and select Select Wells Using Polygon to display a sub menu.
  4. Select Wells Inside of Polygon to open the Well Spot Database dialog displaying a list of well spots found inside of your drawn polygon's parameters or Wells Outside of Polygon to open the Well Spot Database dialog displaying a list of well spots found outside of your drawn polygon's parameters.
