Minimum Curvature Parameters

To change the default parameter settings for the minimum curvature gridding method click <More Options> in the Gridding window to open the Options For Minimum Curvature Gridding dialog box. View image

A new window will open. The upper left-hand corner of the window contains Maximum Residual, Maximum Iterations, Interior Tension,  and Boundary Tension parameters, which are specific to the minimum curvature algorithm.

• Maximum Residual: Iterations stop when the maximum grid node correction for the entire iteration is less than the maximum residual. The default maximum residual equals (0.001)*(data input maximum value - data input minimum value).
• Maximum Iterations: The number of iterations is the number of gridding passes.
