Move Folders and Items

For organizational reasons, you might want to rearrange the order of your folders and layers in the Layer Manager bar. In WinPICS, you can move the items by clicking and dragging them to a new position. The order of the items in the list determines the order they are displayed in the map, with top items displaying as the top layers. Follow these steps to rearrange folders and layers:

  1. Hover your mouse cursor over the name of the folder or layer you want to move.
  1. Left-click and hold the mouse cursor on the name then drag the cursor to move the item. A ghost image of the object will move with the cursor, along with an icon showing how you are proposing to move the item. You can move an item above or below the current location in a folder, or into another folder . WinPICS will indicate if you are trying to move an item to an invalid location. View image
