Importing HAS Horizon Files
Follow these steps to import 2D or 3D HAS (Horizon ASCII) horizon files into WinPICS:
- Select either |
or | to open the Select
Horizon Files dialog box.
- Locate your horizon file, and click <Open>
to open the Import
Horizon Values dialog box. View image
- From the Import
Horz Value Into list, select whether to import the horizon values as time values or amplitude values. If you select time values, you also
need to set the Units list to
microseconds, milliseconds, or seconds.
- From the Adjustments list, select if you want to remove or keep any bulk shifts applied to the horizon picks.
- In the Match
Values According To section, choose whether to match horizon values
according to the closest Shotpoint (2D-only) or
In-line/X-line Num (3D-only), or X/Y
Coordinate (both 2D and 3D).
- Matching horizon values to X/Y Coordinates
is generally safer since shotpoints and in-line/cross-line numbering can
vary from one imported version to another.
- If the horizon values are time units, set the
Amplitude Extraction Options as follows:
- Set
Amplitudes to 0 - Select if you have no need for amplitude values.
- Extract
Amp From Seismic (linear interp) - Select if you want to extract
amplitudes from the seismic using linear interpolation. Lines are drawn
between each horizon pick and amplitudes are extracted along those lines.
- Extract
Amp From Seismic (linear interp) - Select if you want to extract
amplitudes from the seismic with auto picker. The horizon is auto-picked
between imported horizon picks and amplitudes are extracted at each new
horizon pick.
- Click <OK>
to import the horizon.
