WinPICS allows you to
import multiple versions of 2D lines and 3D datasets. Once additional versions are added to your project,
you can quickly flip between SEGY versions without leaving your seismic window.
- Import your version SEG-Y into a separate
directory from your project directory. Read more
- Select | from the Application toolbar. Select your version file using
standard Windows commands.
- Associate your version file with the original
version of the line by highlighting both files and then clicking on <Make Association>.
- Enter a one-line description for the version for
future reference.
- Click <OK>.The version will be automatically assigned an
incremented WinPICS extension.
For example, if the first version is 'line.yd0', then the second is 'line.yd1',
the third is 'line.yd2', etc. for 16-bit data. Read more
- For 2D import, the sample interval and the number of samples must be
identical in the version and the original SEG-Y files.
- If you select the check box next to Disable
Shotpoint Matching for 2D import, then the number of traces must
also match. For 3D version import, the sample interval, the number of
samples, and the number of traces must be identical in the versions and
the original SEG-Y files. Confirm if the version and original files have the same
number of traces.
