Well-Spot Format

Well-spots may be imported from fixed width columnar ASCII files or symbol delimited ASCII files.

To import columnar data, you will match column ranges with database elements. Similarly, you will designate delimiter and match field number with data elements for delimited files.

The file format defines both required and optional fields. To use WinPICS' well tops and velocity functions you must provide all of the required fields.

Required well-spot fields

Required - but generated automatically if not in file

Optional Fields For User Reference

  1. (Enclose these strings in quotes)

Optional computational fields
