ASCII Well Information Import

On the Well Spot Database dialog box, click <ASCII Import> to view the following list of options:

You have the following options in the Accumap menu:

Accumap - All Well Data in One Step - Select to open the Accumap Imports dialog box, where you can select and configure all Accumap well data to import into WinPICS . Use this option the first time you generate the well database for a project.
Accumap - Well Spots or With Tops Together - Select to open the Accumap Well Spots/Tops Import dialog box, where you can select and configure Accumap well spot and tops data to import into WinPICS .
Accumap - Well Tops - Select to open the Accumap Well Tops Import dialog box, where you can select and configure Accumap well top data to import into WinPICS . You must have wells selected to use this option.
Accumap - Well Logs - Select to open the Accumap Well Log Import dialog box, where you can select and configure Accumap well log data to import into WinPICS You must have wells selected to use this option.
Accumap - Well Survey - Select to open the Accumap Deviation Survey Import dialog box, where you can select and configure Accumap well deviation survey data to import into WinPICS . You must have wells selected to use this option.
Accumap - Grid and Culture - Select to open the Accumap Grid/Culture Import dialog box, where you can select and configure Accumap well and culture data to import into WinPICS .

The well-spot database is first created when well-spots are imported or hand-entered. The rest of the well database is built upon this foundation. Some imports will automatically compute time and depth relationships, if the information to complete the calculation already exists in the database.

For example, if checkshot surveys are imported before well tops, the well time will be automatically computed for all associated horizons. You could use Well Time to post well tops on your seismic displays.

As long as the well-spots are imported first, the order in which the other data is added is not critical. While automatic calculations are convenient, you can always manually compute or re-compute these relationships using TOPS Functions and/or Survey Functions. Synthetics can be created anytime.

To perform all Accumap imports at the same time, select Accumap | All Well Data in One Step to open the Accumap Imports dialog box, where you can select and configure ASCII files to import into WinPICS .
