ASCII Well Import Formats

WinPICS uses the following format definitions to import ASCII well information:

• Wellspot format
• Wellspot symbols
• Well tops format
• Deviated well survey format
• Checkshot survey format

The well spot ASCII format defines required and optional fields. Required fields are used to place well spots on maps and to annotate seismic displays with well names and locations.

To take advantage of all WinPICS features, you will need to supply optional fields as well. Optional fields may be included in the input file or added manually after import as needed.
