Contact Points

Contact points are drawn on the seismic and map displays at the intersection of horizons and fault markings. The symbol of the contact point is a wedge that points toward the fault. The color of the wedge on your seismic display is the same as the color of the horizon. Contact points can be turned on or off for map display in Edit Map Draw Order.

Creating Contact Points

Extend your horizon picks to the fault to fill in the guard zone. Create contact points by stretching the last horizon pick across the fault. You can also have WinPICS calculate contact points.
