Cut, Copy, and Paste Print Objects
Use the Print Layout
window's Edit
menu or Main
toolbar to remove or add objects to your print layout.
- These tools work the same as in other Windows-based software programs.
All items on the print layout are individual objects that you can select and edit. As well, you can copy objects
from the print layout to another program, or vice versa. The following
explains how to use these tools.
- Copy
- Select an object, and then select (or ) to copy the object to your Windows clipboard.
Once on the clipboard, you can paste a copy of the object back into your
layout or into another program (For example, a Word document or a graphics
program). With copy, the original object remains in its location, and
a copy of the object transfers to the clipboard.
- Cut
- Select an object, and then select (or ) to transfer the object to your Windows
clipboard. Once on the clipboard, you can paste the object back into your
layout or into another program. With cut, the object moves to the clipboard
and no longer displays in its original location.
- Paste
- Click on a location in the layout, and then select
(or ) to copy the current clipboard object into your print
layout. This object might be one that you originally cut or copied from
the layout, or it can be an object you copied from another program.
