Plot Parameters

You can use the Parameter Properties dialog box of the plot label designer to add text to your label. This text will correspond to an existing value (parameter) that you select from your plot. You can add the following plot parameters to your label, depending on whether you are plotting in the Map window or the Seismic window:

Map Parameters

Option Description
Scale The scale of the plot at 1:X.
Interpolation Mode Indicates if the color pixels are smoothed or interpolated.
Posted A description of the posted horizon or grid.
Contour A description for the posted contour.
Plot Range The UTM area covered by the plot.
Smoothing Bin smoothing parameters.

Seismic Parameters

Option Description
Scale Scale of the plot TPI/IPS.
Interpolation Mode Indicates if the color pixels are smoothed or interpolated.
Plot Range Trace (time) range covered by the plot.
Seismic Attribute Seismic attribute displayed by the color and wiggle.
Color Gain and bias applied for seismic display.
Wiggle Excursion and clipping values for the wiggle trace.
Display Mode Mode for display. For example, wiggle, wiggle/variable area, etc.
Sample Format Data format for the seismic samples.
Number of Samples Number of seismic samples in the plot.
Sample Interval Interval between seismic samples.
Number of Traces Number of traces in the seismic section.
Phase Phase used in the seismic .
Start Time Start time of the seismic.
Polarity Polarity of the seismic.
Scale Factor Scale applied by the user.
Max Value Value that will give full deflection on the seismic.
Display Direction Display cross-line or in-line.
Ascii/Ebcdic Header Information from the SEG-Y header.

Common Parameters

Option Description
Date/Time Current date and time.
Author Author of the plot
Plot Name Area name for a map, or the line name for a seismic section.
Description Description entered in the Print to Windows Device dialog box.

When you add a plot parameter to your label, it is added to the label elements tree in the Display Options dialog box.
