Compute XYZ Well Survey Values

The Compute X,Y,Z Values function is used to calculate X-offset, Y-offset, and TVD from a well survey file. WinPICS will calculate the values based on the information provided for MD,Azimuth, and Inclination.

1. On the Applicationtoolbar select |Well Database.
2. Highlight the wells for which Survey Time is to be calculated. (Multi-selection of wells can be accomplished using the <Shift> and <Ctrl> keys).
3. Select Survey Functions | Compute X,Y,Z Values.
4. Click <Save> to save the new computed times and close the Well-spot Database dialog box.

• Survey Functions will use the Measured depth, Inclination and Azimuth to compute survey values. If you wish to use imported values for TVD, X-Offset, and Y-Offset, do notCompute X,Y, Z.
