Distance Ruler
uUse the distance ruler to draw and display the radius around a point on your map. This can be useful to determine the radius around a well site for regulatory purposes.
- In the Map window, select an option from Drawing Tools toolbar.
- Click on the Distance
Ruler icon. Your mouse pointer will be displayed as a pencil in your Map view.
- Left-click to set the center point of the circle. To expand the radius of the circle, drag the mouse away from the center. As you draw the circle, the radius displays on the left side of the Status bar.
- Left-click again when your circle is at the desired size.
- To close the distance
ruler, right-click on the map and select .
- If you want to save a circle as a map overlay, use the Draw Circles tool on the Drawing Tools toolbar.
