Applying
Operator/Move to Design Window
The Move
to Design dialog box enables you to select amplitude
and/or phase corrections, set the operator length, design operator shape,
manually edit the amplitude or phase spectrum, open saved wavelets, and
apply the operator. From the wavelet matching/transfer function
window, click on <Move to Design Window>.
Fine-Tuning and Applying the Operator for the Wavelet
Matching/Transfer Function
Follow these steps:
- At the top of the window, under Amplitude Correction Options, specify
Match to Reference Seismic to
apply amplitude corrections; Whiten Spectrum
to adjust the amplitudes of all frequency components within a certain
band-pass to the same level; or None
(all pass = 0 dB) for no amplitude corrections. Choose one of these
same options for the phase corrections under Phase
Correction Options.
- You need to define the operator length
separately for the amplitude and phase spectra. Click on Phase
or Amplitude in the lower right-hand
corner and then, Show Phase Design Option
or Show Amplitude Design Option.
Enter four corner frequencies to define the limits of the operator under
f1,
f2, f3, and f4. Click Apply. Note
that the red and green dots mark the four corner frequencies on the phase
and amplitude spectra.
- Amplitude
or phase values for f < f1 or f > f4 can be set by entering a number
in the text box or by clicking on the arrows to the right of the text
box. By default, frequencies less than f1 (first corner frequency) and
frequencies greater than f4 (fourth corner frequency) are set to zero.
- Tapering between the frequency corners
can be set to straight line, linear tapering, Hanning
window, or Hamming window.
Under Tapering from f1 to f2 or
Tapering from f3 to f4, click
on the arrow to select one of the options from the drop-down menu.
- Click on Apply Wavelet
to apply the operator to the seismic data. (You can click on Undo
Wavelet to undo the operator.) Click Accept to accept the operator
and exit the design window or click Cancel to abort the operator and exit
the design window.
