Compute Seismic Attribute
Use the Horizon
Attributes dialog box to compute one or more seismic attributes
for one or more seismic lines. You can open this dialog box from the menu on the
menu
bar, from the Seismic
Tools toolbar, or by right-clicking on the Seismic window and selecting .
The easiest way to define your gate is to use this dialog box in conjunction with the calipers tool in the Seismic
window. View image
This dialog box has the following options:
input
- Select 2D Line and 3D Area - Select the lines or the areas you want to include in your horizon.
- <Select All> - Click to select all lines and areas and include them in your horizon.
- <Clear All> - Select to clear all selected lines and areas.
Time gate window for calculation
- Fixed Gate Window - Centers the gate on a specified time. WinPICS
indicates a default time value based on the location of the seismic that you right-clicked to enter this dialog box, or on the current placement of the calipers.
- Use One Horizon as Gate Window Center - Centers the gate along the horizon you select, which WinPICS will use as time zero.
- Use Two Horizons to Define Gate Window - Centers
the gate between two horizons you select.
- The options available below will change depending on which gate mode you select.
Defined time gate window
- Gate Center - The time to center the gate on if you use a fixed gate window. You can select the center by using the
calipers, or by typing a value in this field.
- - Select a horizon from the list to use as the reference if you're using a horizon as the gate window center. If you selected
Use Two Horizons... as your mode, you must
select two horizons (Horizon 1 and Horizon 2) as references.
- Gate Each Side - The time to use as a window above and below the gate center when you
use Fixed Gate Window or mode. You can
select the gate each side by using the calipers, or by typing a value
in this field.
- Extend Gate By - The time to use as a window above and below the gate center when you
use Two Horizons... mode. You can select
the size of the extension by using the calipers, or by typing a value
in this field.
- Gate Center Offset - The time to offset the gate center by. You can select the time offset
by using the calipers, or by typing a value in this field.
Amplitude value range used in calculation
- Minimum Input Amplitude Threshold/Maximum Input Amplitude Threshold - Specify minimum and maximum amplitudes, and your horizon will include only values that fall in this range.
Output
- Select Attributes to
Compute - Select the seismic attributes that you want WinPICS to compute for the gate you defined.
- Name - WinPICS automatically creates a name for the horizon output. You can type a different name in the
field if you wish.
Create New Horizon
- <OK> - Creates a horizon. You can access information about the horizon in the
Current Horizon/Fault dialog box.
