Horizon/Fault
The current horizon/fault, also
referred to as the active horizon/fault, is the horizon/fault to which
all picking, editing, deleting, etc. is made. The current horizon/fault
name is displayed on the Horizon

Changing the Current Horizon
There are several ways to select an active horizon for picking.
- Click the Pick
Horizons button to enable horizon picking mode.
- Click on the Active
Horizon button to display a drop down list of horizons
in the database. Select a horizon.
- Click the Horizon tab on the Layer Manager bar and select a horizon.
- Click the Show

Picking toolbar. Right-click on a horizon and select from the menu.
- Click on a horizon annotation tag to set the event active for picking.
- Toggle the Previous or Next buttons to cycle through events in the database.
- To select the horizon currently posted in the Map window, on the menu bar select .
Changing the Current Fault
There are several ways to select an active fault for marking.
- Click the Mark
Faults button to enable fault marking mode.
- Click on the Active
Fault button to display a drop down list of faults in the database. Select a fault.
- Click the Horizon tab on the Layer Manager bar and select a fault.
- Click the Show

Picking toolbar. Right-click on a fault and select from the menu.
- Click on a fault annotation tag to set the fault active for marking.
- Toggle the Previous or Next buttons to cycle through faults in the database.
- You can quickly jump between horizons and faults in the Seismic
window by right-clicking on the seismic below the event, and selecting
Jump to Horizon/Fault
from the shortcut menu. Post the current
horizon/fault on the map window by selecting Post
| Post Horizon/Fault | Current Horizon/Fault
from the bar (or press <c> on your keyboard).
