Guided Manual
Picking Mode
The guided manual picking mode is a straight line force mode. By default, no amplitudes are
stored with manual picks. To save amplitudes with your pick you must
change the Manual Picks Have Zero Amplitude
setting in your Seismic Preferences.
Using the Guided Manual Picking Mode
If the Current
Pick Mode button on the Horizon Picking toolbar does not read Guided Manual, then you need
to toggle off the current picking mode.
Click on the Current Pick Mode
button and select from the drop down list (or press <m>
on your keyboard). The words Guided Manual will now be displayed on this button.
- Discontinuous Manual Picking – Left click
on a trace and, without lifting the mouse button, drag the guideline to
another trace. Release the mouse button. A straight line will be drawn
between the two points.
- Continuous Manual Picking – While holding
the <Ctrl> key, left-click
on an event. Release the <Ctrl>
key. Drag the guideline across several traces and left click to define
the end of the first segment and the start of the second segment. Continue
adding segments in this manner. Press the <Esc>
key on your keyboard to end picking in continuous mode.
