How to Draw Bubble Maps
Bubble maps are useful tools for creating quick maps of production,
fluid parameters, and other well information. You can use a bubble map
to quickly compare one or more types of information in your map (For example,
the relative amounts of oil, water, and gas that were produced by every
well in your results list).
- You cannot view a bubble map for more than one result list at a time.
Basic workflow
Follow these steps to create a bubble map of your area:
- From the Main Menu bar, select Map
| Bubble Map/Time Slice Properties, or click
on
the Bubble
Map/Time Slice Tools toolbar, to open the Bubble Map Properties
dialog box, where you can set up your bubble map.
- To ensure GeoVista is not in
time slice mode, make sure
appears on the Bubble
Map/Time Slice Tools toolbar.
- To set the bubble
map properties for a specific layer (not necessarily the currently selected
layer), right-click on the layer in the Layer
Manager tab, and choose Bubble
Map Properties from the shortcut
menu.
- Click <OK>
to close the Bubble
Map Properties dialog box and refresh the Map View to display the bubbles.
- Use the Map toolbar to zoom in and view
the information in your bubbles.
- To turn off your bubble map display, click
on the Bubble
Map/Time Slice Tools toolbar.
