2D Batch
Import Rules
You can import individual 2D lines or a batch of 2D lines with each
import pass. To select more than one file, hold the <Ctrl>
key on your keyboard while you left-click on additional filenames in the
Open SEG-Y Files
dialog box.
On the Application toolbar, select to open the Open SEG-Y
Files dialog box.
Check every file for trace data type and import format and note any
differences between the files. Decide how to batch import them most efficiently.
During the import process, you will be able to remove
SEG-Y files that do not belong in your batch.
Rules
- All 2D SEG-Y files in a batch
must have or State Plane x/y coordinate information in the trace headers
or have a survey file that contains this information. Each import pass can
use only one of these methods.
- All 2D SEG-Y files in a batch
must be written in the same trace data type. For example, all 32-bit
IBM big-endian or 16-bit IEEE little-endian, etc.
- All 2D SEG-Y files in a batch
must be readable using the same import format. For example, same
byte locations for start time, shotpoints, etc.
- All 2D SEG-Y files in a batch
must be imported into the same project directory.
- 3D datasets must be imported individually.
