General Features of the Import Wizard
- Automatically detects trace data endian and floating
point type
- Allows you to view header contents
- Saves custom import formats for future use
- Previews map locations before you import
- Provides statistical analysis of floating point scale factor
- Previews floating point scaling to prevent clipping
- Outputs 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit IEEE, or retain
32-bit IBM formats
- Drops or retains dead traces
2D Import Features of the Import Wizard
- Imports batches of 2D data
- Imports using or State Plane x/y locations
in trace headers or imports using locations
from ASCII UTM coordinate file
- Recognizes and corrects most shotpoint numbering
and x/y coordinate problems
3D Import Features of the Import Wizard
- Imports with in-line/cross-line and UTM x/y coordinates
in trace headers
- Imports with only in-line/cross-lines in trace
headers
- Imports with only x/y coordinates in trace headers
- Imports rectangular datasets by entering three
known locations
- Imports a subset of your 3D in-line/cross-lines
