Color Palette - New CSet

Use the New CSet function to create a new color set from scratch.

  1. Right click on the color palette to open a popup menu and select New CSet.
  2. A window will open asking you to set the number of colors you wish to use in your color set. Enter a number between 1 and 254. A higher number will result in smoother transitions between colors on the seismic and map windows. Don't use a number of colors that exceeds the largest number of colors your graphics card and workstation display settings support. Click <OK>.
  3. An all black color palette will appear. Double click on the color palette to edit the color at this location.
  4. A standard Windows color palette window will open for color selection and customization. The available colors depend on your Windows display settings and the capabilities of your graphics card. You can select an existing color (click on a Basic color) or assign a new color (click on a Customcolor). Define your new color then click on Add to Custom Colors to place your new color on the custom color palette.
  5. Repeat this process to select other colors for the color palette.
  6. Use the Drag Mode to interpolate between the new colors.
  7. Use the Save Asfunction to save the color set to a new file.
