Changing Grid Geometry Filename

Grid geometries are automatically saved under the default filename Grid_Type.x so that you can reuse geometry parameters in future grids. Change the default filename in the Gridding dialog box by clicking <Rename> under Gridding Geometry. A new window will open.

Type a new name and click <OK> to save changes and exit window or <Cancel> to exit without saving changes. When you execute the gridding function, all grid geometry settings are saved to this filename.

Grid Math requires that all grids used in a given equation have the same geometry. If you open an existing geometry file and then make changes to the geometry settings, the filename will automatically change to a new filename with the same default format Grid_Type.x. This is to prevent you from accidentally overwriting geometry files.
