Importing Control Points

1. Compute Depth Control Points in the Well-spot Database and exit the database.
2. From the Map menu bar, select Grid and Contour | Create Horizon Grids (or press <Ctrl> + <g> on your keyboard) to open the Choose Horizon for Gridding dialog box.
3. Select the horizon and data type you wish to grid. Change the gridding filename if you like. See Select Data to Grid.
4. Click <OK> to open the Kernel Gridding window.
5. Click <Add/Edit Control Points>.
6. Click <Copy Control Points> and browse for your depth control point file. (extension is .ud.) The control points will appear on the map and in the listing.
7. Click <Make Changes> to edit your control points.
8. When you have finished editing your points select End Control Points Edit and complete your gridding as usual.

• In Inverse Distance Weighting under More Options you can assign a greater weight to control points than to 2D, 3D or well data.
