Map Preferences

Use the Map Preferences dialog box to set your preferences for displaying content in the Map view. To open this dialog box, in the Map menu select Preferences | Map Window Preferences. WinPICS saves the preferences as defaults for this project. This dialog box has three tabs:

• Map
• Draw Order
• Annotations
• Symbol Preferences

Each tab has the following common options:

• <System Defaults> - Click to return your map preferences to the original system default settings.
• <Apply to Project and View> - Click to apply the map preferences settings to your current project, as well as to write the settings to an *.xml file that WinPICS associates with this project. You can use this *.xml file to apply the same settings to other projects.
• <Apply to View> - Click to apply the map preferences settings to your current project.
• <Close> - Click to close the dialog box.
