Wiggle Decimation

Wiggle decimation controls how many seismic traces are displayed. A setting of ‘1’ means that every trace is displayed; ‘2’ means that every other trace is displayed.

WinPICS automatically decimates traces displayed on the seismic window based on the selected scale. Override this by selecting Display | Display Mode | Wiggle Decimation from the Seismic menu bar.

• Decimation is set for the current seismic window until you reset it. New seismic windows use the automatic decimation controlled by WinPICS. See the Seismic Scales tab of the Seismic Preferences dialog box.

• Toggle the seismic display direction
• Choose a seismic display mode
• Flatten the seismic on a picked horizon
• Increase or decrease the seismic gain for display purposes
