Seismic Display Modes

WinPICS provides six different seismic display modes from which to choose, depending on your individual interpretation needs. Select the active display mode or the wiggle trace decimation from the Seismic menu bar by selecting Display | Seismic Mode.

Wiggle Trace

Only the wiggle traces are displayed.

Wiggle Area

<a>

Wiggle traces are displayed with solid black/white area fill. You can control the color used for Wiggle area fills in the Display Mode tab of the Seismic Preferences dialog box.
Colored Area

<C>

Wiggle traces are displayed with variable area color fill.

Colored Pixel

<r>

Variable area color fill with no wiggle traces.

Overlaid Wiggle

<o>

Variable area color fill with wiggle traces overlaid.

Overlaid Wiggle Area

<O>

Variable area color fill with wiggle area overlaid.

Wiggle Decimation – Select to open the Seismic Display Options dialog box, where you can set how many of the seismic traces are displayed.

All color display modes will contain a Color Palette which is easily edited to suit your interpretation needs.
