Project Conversion Parameters

About the dual coordinate systems browser dialog box

Use the Project Conversion Parameters dialog box to set the parameters you want to convert. You can open this box from the Project Projection Conversion dialog box (if you are converting your project's projection), from the Divestco Import dialog box (if you are converting the projection while importing a Seis-X or SeisWare project), from the Export SEGY File(s) dialog box (if you are exporting SEGY files). or from the Accumap Imports dialog box (if you are importing ASCII files).

Set up your coordinate conversion

Select your source coordinate system. If you're importing data, select the coordinate system the original file uses. If you're exporting data, select the coordinate system your project uses. In the Source Coordinate System section, set the following options:

In the Group list, select a group of coordinate systems. These are logical groupings of coordinate systems, which makes it easier to find the coordinate system you want in the Key Name list. The Key Name list only displays coordinate systems that belong to the group you selected in the Group list.

In the Key Name list, select the coordinate system you want to use for your project. As you change the coordinate system, the dialog box displays more detailed information about the coordinate system.

Select your target coordinate system. If you're importing data, select the coordinate system your project uses. If you're exporting data, select the coordinate system you want the exported files to use. In the Target Coordinate System section, select a Group and Key Name.

For Seis-X/SeisWare projects, WinPICS will return you to the Divestco Import dialog box. Otherwise, WinPICS will copy your project to the folder location you selected, and when the copy process is complete, WinPICS will open the Rebuild 2D Intersection Lines dialog box, where you can complete the conversion.
