Well Tops On Seismic

Well times are used to display well tops on your seismic. To compute well times you must provide three elements.

Time data

Time information for the borehole from a checkshot survey or top and bottom of hole information. This data may be imported or hand entered using the edit function.

Import or edit well tops

Well tops may be imported or hand entered using the edit function.

Associate top names with horizon names

Association between tops names and horizon names. These associations may be made when tops are imported or entered. However, you may make or change associations manually at any time.

If checkshots or top and bottom of hole information have already been entered to the database before tops are imported, well times will automatically be calculated.

If tops are hand entered or if top and bottom of hole information or checkshots are added after tops, you must manually calculate the well time. Go to Tops Functions, Compute Well Time.
