Options - Input Data Restriction
The input data restriction option
enables you to restrict the input horizon data to positive or negative
values, and set minimum and/or maximum values. For example, you might
want to restrict points that are outside the range you want to grid. A
typical reason for doing this is when you have bad data that you do not
want to fix. You can set the grid to restrict the bad data, making the
grid work.
You have the following choices:
- No Restriction
– Use all input data in the gridding calculation.
- No Negative Data
Allowed – No negative data is used in the gridding calculation.
- No Positive Data
Allowed – No positive data is used in the gridding calculation.
- Set a maximum
limit – Sets a maximum value for the input data used in the gridding
calculation. Specify the maximum value in the text box to the right.
- Set a minimum
limit – Sets a minimum value for the input data used in the gridding
calculation. Specify the minimum value in the text box to the right.
- Set both max
and min limits – Sets both a minimum and a maximum value for the
input data used in the gridding calculation. Specify the minimum and maximum
values in the text boxes to the right.
For each restriction, you can choose an action on those data that exceed the specified limit.
- Do not use those
data – Data
outside the limits you set will be ignored by the grid calculation.
- Replace the value with the limit – Replace any value that exceeds the limit with the value you set for the limit.
