Series Manual Mode
The series manual mode is similar to the guided manual picking mode. However, it is better suited to connected lines segments. The end of each segment you draw is automatically the start of the next segment, so you only have to click the end point of each line segment.
- By default, no amplitudes are
stored with manual picks. To save amplitudes with your pick you must
change the Manual Picks Have Zero Amplitude
setting in your Seismic Preferences.
Using the Series Manual Mode
If the words Series Manual
do not appear on the Current
Pick Mode button (located on the Seismic
window's Horizon
Picking toolbar), you need to toggle off the current picking mode.
Click on the Current Pick Mode
button and select from the drop down list (or press <Shift> + <e>
on your keyboard). The words Series Manual will now be displayed on this button. Follow these steps to pick on your seismic:
- Click
on a trace to indicate the beginning of a line segment.
- Click on a trace where you want this segment to end. WinPICS draws a line up to that point.
- Click a series of traces for the line to follow. WinPICS adds a straight segment to the line with each click.
- Right-click or press <Esc> on your keyboard to end the current line. If you click on your seismic again, you will start a new line segment.
- If you are picking a series of disconnected segments along a horizon, it may be more efficient to use guided auto or guided manual picking mode.
