Formation Tops Posting

To open the Formation Tops Posting Options dialog box, click <Choose Top> on the Posting Text Setup dialog box. From here, select the formation top and value that you want to display in the label.

This dialog box has the following options:

• Tops Options - Choose the type of value you want to display: Depth, IsopachA contour that shows a geological object's true stratigraphic thickness., Isopach Calculated, SubseaThe distance from sea level to a formation top, or User Comment.
• You can only select User Comment if you select User Tops. When you select User Comment, GeoVista displays any information you enter in the comments row of the Edit User Defined Tops dialog box.
• Tops - Choose the database you want to use to select your tops: User Tops or MinistryFormation tops database set up by the provincial government Tops.
• <User Preference> - Click this button to open the User Preference dialog box, where you can set which user-defined tops to display and in what precedence.
• Formations - Choose a formation from the list.
