Export Data

You can export your query results to another application (For example, WinPICS, Excel, Access, or Surfer).

Follow these steps to export your data to another application:

  1. On the Object Manager bar, click the Result List tab.  
  2. On the Result List tab toolbar, click Ticket Options and Exports to open a shortcut menu.
  3. From this shortcut menu, select Export Data to see a sub-menu of the following export options:
Export Data Option Description

Export Report

Set up and then export your data in a report format, such as a Word document (*.doc). If you are exporting grid and culture data, GeoVista opens the Export Selection dialog box; otherwise, you will see the Export/Save Options dialog box.

Export to ODBC

Opens the OBDC Export Wizard dialog box, where you can set up and export your data in a database format, such as Access (*.mdb).

Export to Surfer

Set up and then export your data to the third-party Surfer application format.

Export to WinPICS

Set up and then export your data directly into a WinPICS project.

Export to Petra Opens the Petra Export dialog box, where you can select the coordinate system you want and export your data in the Petra file format (*.pet).

Export Gas Analysis

Opens the Gas Analysis Report Options dialog box, where you can select your export options and export your data into an Excel spreadsheet (*.xls).

Export Core Analysis

Opens the Core Export: Formation Filter dialog box, where you can select which formations to export, and then export the results to an Excel spreadsheet (*.xls).

Export to Merak PEEP

Opens the Save As dialog box, where you can select the location to save your data in the Merak PEEP file format (*.mer and *mrk). Both DECPRO and Value Navigator can import PEEP files.

Export to Mosaic

Opens the Save As dialog box, where you can select the location to save your data in the Mosaic file format (*.axp). Mosaic and  Aires can import *.axp files.

Export to Navigator

Opens the Save As dialog box, where you can select the location to save your data in the Value Navigator format (*.vna).
