Select Map Object - Overview

From the Map window, click on the Select Map Object icon on the Map Selection toolbar.

This will toggle on map object mode which will allow you to select a map object you created (lines, polygons, or text) in order to do such things as modify, delete or grid the area inside or outside of it. Once an object is highlighted you can either right-click on the map to access a general menu, or alternatively you can left-click to enter edit object mode and then right-click once more to access a more advanced menu.

On the Map Drawing menu, select Draw Object Properties to open a dialog box where you can edit the lines, polygons, and text that have been created in your project

On the Map Drawing menu, select Draw Object Properties for All to open a dialog box where you can edit the lines, polygons, and text that have been created in your project.

The Map Drawing menu also enables you to perform calculations using gridded surfaces, compute the area and volume of a polygon, export SEGY data that falls inside or outside of a polygon , grid data that falls inside or outside of a polygon, as well as a number of other operations.

Exit drawing mode

To exit the drawing mode you must right- click and select Exit Drawing. Alternatively, you can right-click and select Save Drawing to New Layer and Exit or Save Drawing to Current Layer and Exit to save your changes before exiting.
