Edit Well Spot

How to open this dialog box
You can open the Edit Well Spot dialog box in the following ways:
- In the Map window, select on the Map Selection toolbar.
- In the Seismic window, select from the menu bar.
- In the Well Spot
Database dialog box, click <Add>
or <Edit>.
This dialog box has the following options:
- You can resize this dialog box in order to see more of your data. Click on a corner of the dialog box and drag to resize it.
- UWI/API
- The name of the well.
- Short
Name - An abbreviated name for the well.
- UTM
X - The x coordinates for the well.
- UTM
Y - The y coordinates for the well.
- Operator
Name - The name of the operator associated with this well.
- Lease
Name - The name of the lessee associated with this well.
- Date
- The well creation date.
- Symbol
- The symbol assigned to this well spot.
- Boreholes Window - Lists any boreholes associated
with the well.
- <Add
Borehole> - Click to open the Edit Borehole For dialog box,
where you can create a new borehole for the current well-spot. At minimum,
you must manually enter the short name and
X/Ys. Optionally,
you can also add other parameters such as long name, operator name, lease
name, date, symbol, and borehole details.
- <Add Borehole> is different
from import well-spot in that you
have to manually enter all parameters instead of having WinPICS
read them from the ‘.dat’
file.
- <Edit
Borehole> - Left-click on a borehole in the Boreholes window, and then click this button to open the Edit Borehole For dialog box.
From here, you can edit well parameters such as name and location.
- <Del
Borehole> - In the Boreholes window, left-click on the borehole you want to delete, and click
this button to remove that borehole from the well in your database.
- <TOPS> - edit well TOPS
- <Logs> - Logs
- <Survey> - Surveys
- <Checkshot> - Checkshots
You can keep this dialog box open while you work in the Well Spot Database dialog box, the Map window, or the Seismic window.
- If you try to add a well when the Edit Well Spot dialog box is already open, WinPICS displays a warning. You must close the Edit Well Spot dialog box before you can add a new well to edit.
